An excavator is a staple of any job site that requires earthmoving. Although every excavator has the same major components, excavator sizes vary depending on their purpose. An excavators size, often expressed in terms of their weight in tons, effects how much weight they can lift, which is called the operating weight. A larger excavator will have a higher operating weight, deeper dig depth, and stronger engine power. Typically, excavator size classes are seen in these purposes:
- Compact/Utility (under 20 tons) – Sometimes informally called a “digger”. Typically used in landscaping, farming, small construction jobs, and civil works.
- Standard (20 – 40 tons) – BRIKERS is primary focused on providing components for this category of excavators. Typically used earthmoving, construction, material handling, road building for forestry/logging sites, and residential foundation digging.
- Large (40+ tons) – Demolition, mining (sometimes referred to as "mining shovels"), underground foundation digging, civil construction projects, oil & gas, marine work and pile driving
BRIKERS carries major components for excavators in the 20 - 40 ton size class, between 5 - 20 years old (3 generations). We focus on components for the most popular excavator manufacturers, such as CAT, John Deere, Komatsu, Hitachi, Volvo, Hyundai, CASE, Link-Belt, and Doosan. Every major component you see on an excavator we carry. We call these the 14 major components, which are: excavator cabs, arms, booms, hydraulic cylinders (arm, bucket, and boom cylinders), main pumps, control valves, propel motors, final drives, swing motors, swing gearboxes, swing bearings, and engines. Because we dismantle excavators right here on site, we also carry odds and ends, such as attachments (buckets, thumbs, quick couplers), panels, cab accessories, and undercarriage components (tracks, top and bottom rollers, idlers, sprockets, track adjusters, etc).
We know that when your excavator goes down it can cost you precious time on the job, so BRIKERS strives to offer quick turnaround times, and some orders may even ship the same day. That’s why BRIKERS is a trusted source of excavator components for companies worldwide!

A Builder, Not a Broker
BRIKERS makes some big claims about our parts inventory and quick shipping, and we back them up with a unique approach to business. Most so-called “parts suppliers” you find online aren’t selling their own parts. They’re acting as middlemen to the actual suppliers and inserting an extra step — and often extra mark-ups — into the process. BRIKERS, however, has its own 44,000-square-foot storage facility that holds more than 10,000 individual components right on-site and ready to go. Once you’ve completed your order it’s just a matter of prepping, packaging, and shipping all at the same location. It makes next-day shipping a breeze, and, in some cases, we can even get your shipment out the same day you place your order!
